Candidate packets now available from Voter Registration Office

With the filing period for 2024 candidates set to open on Wednesday, Jan. 10, candidate packets are now available.

Potential candidates for county or township office may stop by the Voter Registration Office on the second floor of the Putnam County Courthouse or download the forms from the Indiana Secretary of State website, www.in.gov/sos.

The filing period for Republicans and Democrats wishing to appear on the May 7, 2024 ballot must file the proper forms between Jan. 10 and noon on Feb. 9.

Putnam County positions set to appear on the 2024 ballot include District 1 commissioner, District 3 commissioner, three Putnam County Council at-large positions, auditor, treasurer and coroner.
