County Jail
One person was booked in the Putnam County Jail on Friday.
• At 2:11 a.m. Darrin A. Lane, 30, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated.
City Fire
The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one incident between Thursday and Friday:
• At 4:40 a.m. on Thursday, GFD was dispatched to Chiyoda USA for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 4:50 and determined the alarm was due to a forklift hitting a sprinkler pipe. The alarm system was reset before their arrival, and the maintenance manager advised that repairs were being arranged. GFD went back into service at 5:04 a.m.
Additionally, GFD responded for five medical assists during this timeframe.
