Recycling natural trees diverts them from the landfill, helps provide habitat areas for fish &

wildlife, aids in erosion control, and provides beneficial mulch for gardens, trees and

walking paths.

West Central Solide Waste District is offering free recycling of live trees through Jan. 28 at the following locations:

• Greencastle Yard Waste Site, 2363 S. CR 250 West, Greencastle;

• Lieber State Park Recreation Area, 1317 W. Lieber Rd., Ste. 1, Cloverdale — three

miles south of I-70 on State Rd 243;

• Raccoon Lake State Recreation Area, 1588 S. Raccoon Pkwy., Rockville.;

• Rockville Lake Park, 828 N. Marshall Rd., Rockville. Leave at sign at base of barn.

Residents wanting trees that have been collected at the Greencastle Yard Waste Site (only)

may call the West Central Solid Waste District office. All other trees will be used by the

park or community affiliated with the collection site.

All decorations should be removed, and plastic bags and trash should not be left on site.
