Former Marsh Supermarket sells for nearly $1.5 million
The old Marsh Supermarket store cleared one last hurdle to becoming a medical facility recently with the sale of the property to Hendricks Regional Health.
Prime Real Estate ERA Powered announced this week that the sale of the property at 1033 Indianapolis Rd. was finalized for $1,485,000.
Having been used for storage by local imdustries for more than 17 years, the building will soon have new life courtesy of the new medical clinic planned by the Danville-based health care provider.
Announcement of the sale was not the first clue that the building was set to be repurposed. In December, the Greencastle Board of Zoning appeals approved a development standards variance to reduce the required number of parking spaces as well as the size and location of parking spaces to make for redevelopment of the Marsh building into a GB1 districted permitted use as a medical building.
“Prime Real Estate ERA Powered was honored to represent the listing of this important property in Greencastle,” said Eric Wolfe, broker/owner and CEO. “A sale like this means revitalization along an important commercial corridor in our community and will hopefully lead to even more investment and good things to come.”
The 2.12-acre site had been owned by Jeff Moe of Zionsville.
