Blood donors needed Tuesday at Greencastle Presbyterian

Greencastle Presbyterian Church is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, Jan. 30 from 2-5:15 p.m. The drive is being coordinated by Versiti, the Blood Center of Indiana.

Versitie is experiencing a significant shortage this winter, and the hope is to find at least 16 people who are willing to give blood on Tuesday. As of Thursday morning, the group had nine donors signed up and needs at least seven more in order to keep the scheduled donor day.

The current supply for those needing blood has seen a significant reduction even since last blood drive this past fall.
