Scott was born June 28, 1958 to Lawrence and Doris (O’Hair) Smith at Fort Hood, Texas. His dad was in the Army, and they lived all over the country.

He retired from Alyeska in 2018.

Scott loved the Lord and sharing his faith with everyone. He loved hunting, fishing and passing on his knowledge to his grandkids. He also enjoyed sketching and painting.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Jenni; his mother; his brother, Dan (Vicki) Smith of Greencastle; two daughters, Rachel (Brad) Smith of Greencastle and Becky (Brian) Fickes of Valdez, Alaska; six grandchildren, Jonathan, Micah, Andrew and Jacob Fickes and Macie and Carl Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by father Lawrence Smith.
