Friday, February 23, 2024

The Putnam County Public Library will partner with financial adviser Lottie Barcus to present Women & Finance on Tuesday, March 5 from 6-7 p.m.

The program will be dedicated to equipping women from all walks of life and life stages with knowledge and skills to confidently navigate and ensure long-term financial well-being.

Women & Finance aims to address savings, investing and retirement as three of the top financial concerns facing women today.

Key topics to be discussed include:

• Creating a well-structured savings plan that allows women to build a strong financial foundation;

• Getting comfortable with investing concepts, enabling women to make informed decisions to grow their wealth; and

• Planning for retirement to ensure a financially secure future and peace of mind.

With her expertise, Barcus will outline actionable steps for women to increase their financial literacy and gain control over their finances. Attendees will be encouraged to embark on their journeys toward financial empowerment, including self-education, recognizing personal motivations and embracing the power of seeking assistance when needed.

“This promising event will provide invaluable insights and practical strategies to conquer these pressing financial matters,” Marketing and Communications Director Kaitlin Tipsword said.
