The YMCA of the Wabash Valley has announced a boost to its capital campaign with several generous gifts ranging between $2,500 and $100,000 over the past few months, bumping the total amount raised to $1.1 million on a goal of raising $1.75 million.

This achievement demonstrates the unwavering support and commitment of city and county residents toward the mission of the YMCA. The funds raised will be instrumental in covering start-up expenses, ensuring a smooth launch of the YMCA’s programs and services, as well as establishing a sustainable endowment fund that will secure the organization’s long-term impact in Putnam County.

“I am immensely grateful for the outpouring of support from our community,” said Ryan Penrod, CEO at the YMCA of the Wabash Valley. “This achievement is a testament to the shared belief in the positive impact the YMCA can have on individuals and families in our community. The funds raised will enable us to provide essential services, programs and opportunities for all, ensuring that the YMCA remains a vital resource for years to come.”
