Monday, February 26, 2024
The Indiana House of Representatives Monday unanimously passed a resolution honoring Rep. Jerry Torr in advance of his retirement from the General Assembly at the end of the current session following 28 years of service. Torr, a Republican who resides in Carmel and represents a portion of Hamilton County, was raised in Putnam County and graduated from Greencastle High School. He is the son of Ken and the late Bev Torr. On hand for the occasion at Indianapolis Monday are (from left) Ken Torr, Jerry Torr, Carolyn Elliott and District 44 State Rep. Beau Baird (R-Greencastle). Carolyn is Ken’s sister and Jerry’s aunt.
