Into the Thick of It

Bainbridge volunteer firefighters make their way through a thicket to tackle a fire area near 2388 N. CR 440 West on Monday. Personnel were dispatched on a box alarm at about 4:20 p.m., as it was initially relayed that the residence had caught. While it did not, roughly four acres burned in the incident.

Greencastle firefighter Jake Armstrong extinguishes hot spots on one side of the scene. Along with Bainbridge Fire and Greencastle Fire, personnel and equipment responded from the Madison Township, Clinton Township and Bellmore volunteers. All units were in service around 6:15 p.m.
