Third hike in series set at DePauw Nature Park

The third hike of the 2024 Putnam Parks & Pathways series will be at DePauw Nature Park at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 9.

The hike will be led by Tim and Kate Jedele.

With many spring ephermeral ponds in the park, hikers will check out hot spots for spring breeding amphibians. The hope is to find egg masses for everyone to see.

The nature park is an ideal spot for frogs, toads and salamanders, who all breed in the spring.
