Betty Kendall

Betty Kendall, 89, of Reelsville, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024.

She was born Dec. 29, 1934 in Browns Valley, the daughter of James N. and Gladys Bernadine (Williamson) Woodall.

She was a 1953 graduate of Greencastle High School.

Betty worked as a hospital aide at Putnam County Hospital for several years. She previously worked at CBS, Wendy’s, Kroger, Mallory and Pell.

Betty was an avid supporter of the Reelsville Volunteer Fire Department and loved feeding hummingbirds.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Ernie” E. Kendall; parents; sisters Hallie Laverne Tincher and Joyce Siegmund; brothers James Arthur Woodall and Nelson Woodall; and a grandson, CJ Tincher.

Betty is survived by her children, David Kendall, Penni (Mark) Lynch, Michelle Campbell and Tabatha Kendall; brother Roy Lee (June) Woodall; sister Elsie Cline; grandchildren Nathan Kendall, Wade Scott Kendall, Teslyn Campbell, Allyson Fogerty, Harley Tincher, Jeremy Western and Daniel Western; and great-grandchildren Autumn Buttery, Aeydan Orman, Riley Zweck, Lennon Fogerty and Bea Emilia Gale.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 5 at the Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 4 from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Betty to the Reelsville Fire Department.
