The deadline is quickly approaching for primary election candidates to submit free biographies to be printed free of charge in the Banner Graphic.

Monday, April 8 is the final day to submit an article and photograph to be printed in advance of the May 7 primary election. For candidates in the primary election — even those with no current opponent — no separate candidate stories will be run after the primary. This is the only opportunity.

Each candidate for county office in the 2024 primary is eligible to submit a biography of no more than 500 words. As always, the staff of the newspaper reserves the right to edit all stories for style, clarity and accuracy.

Candidate stories may be emailed (the preferred method) to the Banner Graphic at news@bannergraphic.com or mailed to Banner Graphic, P.O. Box 509, Greencastle, IN 46135. They can also be hand-delivered to the office at 100 N. Jackson St., Greencastle between from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on any weekday but Wednesday.

A color headshot photograph should be provided with the written submission.

The goal is to have all bios run by Tuesday, April 23, within the first two weeks of early voting, which begins April 9.

Candidates not running in the primary — such as independent candidates and those in vacancies filled by the parties — will have a similar chance to submit biographies ahead of the Nov. 7 general election.
