County candidate forum set for Thursday, April 11

The Greencastle League of Women Voters, WGRE 91.5 FM and the Banner Graphic are co-sponsoring a Candidates Forum for the Putnam County community at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 11.

Featuring candidates for at-large Putnam County Council and Putnam County Commissioner District 1, the event will take place at the Watson Forum in the Pulliam Center for Contemporary Media on the DePauw University campus. 

The forum will be recorded for later broadcast on WGRE 91.5.

County Council at-large candidates include Republicans Amanda Brown, Stephanie Campbell, Daryn Clifford, Chad Colvin and Kerry Williams, who are vying for three spots on the November ballot.

Additionally, District 1 commissioner candidates include Andy Beck, Brad Buck Buchanan, David Fuhrman and Don Hatfield, from whom a single Republican nominee will be chosen for November.

There are no other contested local races on the May primary ballot.

At the conclusion of the forum, audience members will be allowed to ask questions of the candidates. Refreshments will be served during the reception following the forum portion of the event.
