BAINBRIDGE — Normally a monthly event, a second Putnam Parks & Pathways hike has been added for April in response to spring wildflowers, specifically bluebells, in bloom.

The second April hike will take place this Saturday, April 13, at 9 a.m. at Hall Woods Nature Preserve east of Bainbridge. Hikers can expect to learn how to identify native spring ephemeral wildflowers at Hall Woods and discover the connections between these unique plants and their environment.

Ashley Adair will lead the hike. A Putnam County native, Adair has spent her professional career working in the Purdue Extension system. She has found opportunities to spread the joy of spring ephemeral wildflowers to all who would listen.

Hall Woods is located at 3301-3727 E. CR 675 North, Bainbridge, between U.S. 36 and Baker’s Camp Covered Bridge.
