Kerry Williams is seeking election to the Putnam County Council to responsibly represent his community. He cares very deeply about our county and wants to be able to step up and work for its betterment.

He was born and raised in Putnam County and attended Greencastle High School, graduating in 1989, then attended Vincennes University and graduated with an Associate of Science. He has worked tirelessly in the farming community, and now he and his family own and operate an agribusiness in eastern Putnam County.

Besides being born and raised in Putnam County, it is where he has made and raised his own family. He has been married to his wife Pam for 26 years and has two children, Daniel and Bailey, who also graduated from Greencastle High School. He is also a member of Greencastle Christian Church.

His experience owning and operating his own business has allowed him to understand the importance of operating on and within a budget, something he hopes to bring with him to benefit the council and the county. He wants to work with the other council members to make responsible decisions for his community.

His focus once elected is to address how to retain trained individuals as county employees, who are often lost to better-paying jobs in other counties or companies. He wants to make sure that the values of his community are represented and heard in every decision made.

He has represented his community on other boards in the past, including several terms on the Putnam County Soil and Water Board, Purdue Extension and the Putnam County Fair Board. He is also actively involved in the local Quail Forever chapter and the local Masonic Temple Lodge 47. He has also been a volunteer coach for the Putnam County 4-H Shooting Sports Club for several years.
