Virginia Mae Neese

Virginia Mae Neese, 90, of Brazil, formerly of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024.

The daughter of Herschel and Lyma (Cooper) Jones, Virginia was born on Dec. 31, 1933 in Reelsville.

She married Arthur Neese Jr. on April 27, 1957 and began a family, having three boys and a girl.

She loved wearing and selling Avon for several years. She was a lifelong member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and loved to play bingo.

Virginia was a stay-at-home mom. She loved Sunday dinners with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Oscar (Rita) Neese; daughter Pam Neese Rose; sister Donna Savage; daughters-in-law Carla Wilson Neese and Debbie Neese; 11 grandchildren: 4 great-grandchildren; step-grand and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sons Steven Neese and Charles Neese; five sisters; a brother; and a granddaughter.

The family will have private services at the Fertig Cemetery in Poland.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
