Winds in excess of 80 mph ripped through Putnam County before around 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, leaving a trail of damage from Van Bibber Lake to Roachdale and Bainbridge.

Tammy and James Folk, Roachdale, returned home after Tuesday's storm to find that the estimated 90 mph winds had shifted their home 10 feet off its foundation, slamming it into their nearby car port. "It looks like a war zone inside," Tammy said.
