Mike Rokicki 5K

Robe-Ann Park played host to the Mike Rokicki Memorial Castle Classic 5K 23rd annual walk/run to start the beginning of the Park Association of Putnam County's Celebrate "4" Independence Day Celebration. More than 150 runners of all ages took part in the early-morning jaunt Friday.
The overall winners were Mike Scott and Seelye Stoffregen.
The runners ran through the street near DePauw University and finished in the back of the park. Before the awards ceremony, however the children took part in the firecracker run, which was also utilized as a cool down for the adults.
The kids ran behind the baseball courts, across Jackson Street, and back again. The event was won Treyten Clark, who amassed a big lead on his fellow firecrackers. Afterward everyone was treated with free pancakes.
