Sarah New was crowned the 2012 Putnam County Fair Queen Saturday evening at the Fairgrounds Community Building. New bested a field of 12 other candidates to be crowned by 2011 Queen Paxton Stephenson. The 2012 court includes Miss Congeniality Mikayla Cherry, First Runner-Up Paige Pickens, Miss Putnam County Sarah New, Second Runner-Up Alex McHugh, Third Runner-Up Karly Bumgardner and Fourth Runner-Up Tari Straziscar.
