George Verne Dilcher Sr., 62, Indianapolis, died Friday at Methodist Hospital.

He was a retired auto mechanic.

Surviving are his mother, Jaynelle Moore, Dilcher; his wife of 41 years, Ellen Marie Lockhart-Dilcher; three sons, George V. Dilcher Jr., Indianapolis, John Dilcher and wife Dawn, Bradenton, Fla., and Louis Dilcher and wife Karen, Cloverdale; daughter Kimberly Perkins and husband Robert, Indianapolis; sister Linda Dilcher Fresen, Nevada; and eight grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Floral Park Cemetery, Indianapolis.

Visitation is 12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday at Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway.
