David Wayne Poynter, 43, Greencastle, died Saturday at his residence.

Born in Greencastle, he was the son of L.V. and Wilma Jean (Webb) Poynter.

A 1980 graduate of North Putnam High School, he had been a fab operator at Acuity Lighting in Crawfordsville.

Surviving are his mother, Greencastle; and companion Jodie Frey, Covington.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will occur at a later date.
