Robert D. Reed, 86, Zionsville, formerly of Ladoga, died Sunday at Zionsville Meadows.
Born at Raccoon, he was the son of Robert Lawrence and Opal Agnes (Davis) Reed.
A U.S. Army veteran, he was a retired auto mechanic for Herman Davis and Stetler Chevrolet. He was a member of Ladoga Presbyterian Church and the Ladoga American Legion. He was a graduate of Ladoga High School.
He married V. Inez Wilde on April 5, 1946 at Greencastle. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Steve Reed and wife Michiko, Japan, and Randy Reed and wife Holly, Ladoga, and Gary Reed, Michigan; a daughter, Robyn Clark and husband Rick, Indianapolis; a brother, Harold Reed and wife Laura, Canton, Ohio; two sisters, Lois Ronk, Sullivan, and Helen Webster and husband Budd, Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his sister, C. Edith Goshorn.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Ladoga Presbyterian Church, Ladoga, with Rev. Edwin Lacey officiating.
There is no visitation.
