Clifford G. "Tip" Bryant, 88, Danville, died Monday afternoon at Putnam County Hospital.

Born in Morgan County, he was the son of Vernon and Ida Mae (Halfhill) Bryant.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he had been a farmer and had been a self-employed contractor and carpenter.

He married Eva "Icel" Pounds, who died June 16, 1992.

Surviving are a daughter, Jo Cordray, Coatesville; son Larry D. Bryant, Danville; four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville, with burial in Mill Creek Cemetery.

Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
