Glenda S. Close

Glenda S. Close, 52, Coatesville, died Wednesday at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis.

Born in Oak Hill, Ill., she was the daughter of Albert and Betty (Freeman) Stern.

She had been a quality control inspector at Happico Industries for nine years.

Survivors include her husband, James L. Close; mother Betty Bissel; daughters Kelli Carrico and husband Joe, Greencastle, and Leatha Scott, Coatesville; sons Anthony Lehman and wife Jennifer, Greencastle, and Jimmy Close, Terre Haute; sisters Starla Anderson, Monica Stafford, Margie Bowling, Tony Stern, Rita Miller, and Mona Hubatchek; brothers Alfred Stern, Roger Stern, Vincent Stern and Steve Stern, all of Illinois; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, daughters Mary Agnes and Mary Deanna, and sister Diane Baufch.

Services will take place at 7 p.m. at Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville. Visitation is from 5 p.m. until service time.
