Margaret "Mimi" Koenig, 78, Madison, died Sunday at the Hospice Care Facility in Fitchburg.
Born in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Raymond and Dorothy (Dins-more) Blackwell. She was a graduate of DePauw University with a degree in education, and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church since 1970 and Chapter BL of PEO.
She married Roland "Ron" Koenig in 1950. He survives.
Also surviving are three sons, David Koenig and wife Samara, Mt. Horeb, Mark Koenig and wife Karen, Columbus, Ohio, and Bill Koenig and wife Sue, Wauconda, Ill.; two daughters, Susan Brucks and husband Wayne, Palm Springs, Calif., and Betsy Demmings and husband Matt, Greencastle; brother, Bill Blackwell and wife Marjorie, Piedmont, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Madison. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Cress Funeral Home, Madison.
