The book, "Inside Business Management: A Perspective for Students," provides parents an outline for dialogue with their children on important steps to take in preparation for their future education and careers.
Topics in the book relate to career choices students will be making in the near future. Some of the topics include art of getting selected, valuable technical skills, how employees are perceived, building a portfolio and the impact of global competition among others.
Taylor, a Greencastle resident, began his career with the IBM company in Washington, D.C., and supported management as an industrial engineer.
This led to future managerial assignments in two other IBM plants, including Greencas-tle and Dayton, N.J.
His responsibilities included employee training, installation of a new production facility in Rochester, N.Y., and the transfer of product manufacturing operations and start-up of production operations at four different plants.
