North Putnam's 13-1 win over Monrovia in five innings Tuesday night guaranteed its third consecutive West Central Conference title. The Cougars finished 11-1 in conference play and cannot be caught by second-place Greencastle, which is 8-2 with two games to play. The Cougars are 14-2 on the season and ranked fourth in Class 2A. "It's a credit to them and how hard they've worked these past few years," Fish said. "They've worked hard and they deserve it." The Cougars return to action when they play Greencastle at Saturday's Putnam County Tournament.
