He had been a professional boxer, winning both the lightweight and welterweight championship of Indiana with 48 career wins He was a Korean War veteran, and retired as a foreman in 1990 from General Motors.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Imogene Parker; daughter Cindy Huddleston and husband Rick, son Rod Parker and wife Carole, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Conkle Funeral Home, Avon.
Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Friday.
