Viola Leonard, 82, Roachdale, died Saturday morning at her residence.

Born at Hurley, Va., she was the daughter of Ben H. and Mary Jane Rattlife Spencer.

She attended Roachdale Baptist Church and was a member of the Roachdale V.F.W. Auxiliary. She was retired from Motorola in Florida.

She married Roger Leonard on Feb 23, 1972. He survives.

Also surviving is a daughter, Sue Adams, Roachdale; two sons Danny Nipper and wife Barbara, Roachdale, and Henry Nipper and wife Frances, Goshen, Ohio, eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Roachdale Cemetery with Rev. Troy Collett officiating.

There will be no visitation.
