GHS volleyball takes win over Turkey Run in three games

The Greencastle volleyball team evened its record Tuesday night with a win over visiting Turkey Run. The Tiger Cubs won the contest in three games, winning 25-10, 25-9 and 25-15.

Kelsey Hennette paced the Tiger Cubs with 23 assist, 16 digs, five kills and one ace, while Kristen Flint added 14 digs, six blocks five aces, three kills and one stuff block.

Olivia Miller contributed 15 kills, 13 digs, eight blocks two stuff blocks and one ace, with Brooke Lewis adding 12 digs, seven kills, one block, one stuff block and one ace.

Kayla Nobles recorded 10 digs and two kills and Sarah Land added six digs, five blocks and two kills. Mallory Miller had three digs, two assists and one point, with Chelsea Samuels and Hanna Cochran adding one kill and one digs each.

"This was a nice win at home during Homecoming week. I was proud of our focus and ability to play our game and achieve some personal game goal," Greencastle head coach Trish Lowe said.

Greencastle also won the junior varsity match up, winning 25-18 and 25-20. Samuels lead the way with 11 digs, nine kills one block and one stuff block.

The Tiger Cubs will host North Putnam at 6 p.m. Thursday.
