Thomas I. Bixler Sr., 72, Quincy, died Tuesday at Clarian Health University Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born in Owen County, he was the son of Lewis Edward and Ethel (Douglas) Bixler. He married Uylanda Joan (Lutz) Bixler on May 20, 1972, and she survives.
An electric utility lineman, he was a member of I.B.E.W.
Additional survivors include four daughters, Tonia Bixler, Angela Lands, Penny White and Kathy Ward; a step-daughter, Rebecca Boles; two sons, Thomas I. Bixler Jr. and Larry Bixler; two step-sons, David Alexander and Bruce Ferry; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Mary Etta Boler, Florence McClure and Cora Bixler, brothers Jack D. Bixler and Robert E. Bixler, and step-mother Mary Marguerite Bixler.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Mannan Cemetery with Rev. Ross Kirkman officiating.
Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.
