Mary Dobson

Mary Jean Dobson, 63, Brazil, died unexpectedly Monday at her residence.

Born in Clay County, she was the daughter of William James "Jim" Lanham and Mary Alice Pierce Lanham.

She graduated from Brazil High School in 1963 and was a member of the Carbon Baptist Church.

She worked at Mallory, Inc., the Movie Gallery and was currently working as a caregiver at a group home for Normal Life Inc.

Survivors include her husband Larry Dobson, whom she married Oct. 5, 1964; her father Jim Lanham of Brazil; two sons, Donald Wayne Dobson of Brazil and David James Dobson and wife Denise of Cunot; one daughter, Lori Ann Dobson Dove of Brazil; four grandchildren; one sister Deloris Ann and husband Mike Hanson of Brazil; one niece, one nephew; several great-nieces and nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her mother and an aunt.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Brazil, with Jared Odle officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery.
