Judy (Buis) McManama, 66, Greencastle, passed away Friday afternoon, April 11, 2008 at her home after battling breast cancer for eight years.

Born Sept. 11, 1941, she was the daughter of Robert and Maxine (Smith) Buis of Greencastle, both of whom and a brother, Bobby Buis, preceded her in death.

Judy is survived by her husband Robert "Bob" McManama, whom she married on Feb. 23, 1991; her daughter Dee (Eilar) Ehrhardt and husband John; her son Robert Eilar and wife Jody; stepdaughters Dawnell Stewart and husband Mark, Debra Byley and husband Vadim, Leslie Navarre and husband Mark; sisters Bev Nelson, Linda Skinner, June Reed and Karen Buis; brothers Richard Buis and Jim Buis; seven grandchildren, Ian Micki, Stephanie, Nicki, Hannah, Haley and Evan; and eight step grandchildren, Jake, Emily, Raven, Jessie, Olivia, Ben, Isaac and Gabby.

The family is planning public visitation services from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Monday at Chandler Hayes Funeral Home in Greencastle with a memorial service performed by Rev. Steve Williams to follow at 6:30 p.m. A dinner memorial reception will follow at the Moose Lodge in Greencastle. Family and friends are welcome.
