No trains are running through Greencastle due to a washout in Madison Township. This two-mile long train has been stuck on the track between Fillmore and Greencastle since the area was hit with flooding last weekend.
No trains have been running through Greencastle since the area was flooded with torrential rains last weekend, confirmed dispatchers at the Atlanta headquarters of CSX Railroad.

There was a washout under rail tracks in Madison Township and repairs are under way.

Truckloads of gravel and fill dirt have been adding to piles at the old train depot on Madison Street and then sent by rail to the washout area.

A two-mile long train is stopped on the tracks between Fillmore and Greencastle waiting for repairs to be completed.

Dispatchers for CSX in Atlanta say the rails should be repaired and trains up and running sometime Thursday night or Friday morning.

The roads were bad before the storms, the dump trucks just made it worst. Hope everyone remembers to vote in November.
