Robert Wichmann

Robert F. "Bob" Wichmann of Port Charlotte, Fla. and formerly of Greencastle and Washington, died July 19, 2008.

He was born in Lafayette on Oct. 26, 1923, to Fred and Emma (Habben) Wichmann.

He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Lucille Hutcheson, whom he married on July 21, 1945; a daughter, Jane (Michael) Tumey; grandsons M. Christopher Tumey and Scott J. Tumey; a brother, Paul Wichmann; a sister, Ruth Brooke.

Bob is predeceased by his parents; a brother, Everett Wichmann; sisters, Dorothy Merley, Irene Phillips and Phyliss White

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 25, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. and services at 10:30 a.m. at Brick Chapel Church in Putnam County.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Association, Attn: Memorials, P.O. box 21475, St. Petersburg, FL 33742 would be appreciated.

Arrangements were made in Port Charlotte.
