South Putnam finishes second

ELLETSVILLE -- The South Putnam girls' golf team placed second with its three-way match with Indian Creek and Edgewood. Indian Creek was first with a 185, South Putnam was second with a 204 and Edgewood was third with a 212.

Heather Hughes led the Eagles with a 42, while Grace Aker shot a 47. Sarah Dobson added a 57, Cassie Warren and Sarah Burnham a 58, Cierra Perry a 60 and Kelsey Searles a 62.

The Eagles will compete with South Vermillion and Northview at Forest Park in Brazil at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

At Edgewood

Indian Creek 185, South Putnam 204, Edgewood 212

South Putnam -- Hughes 42, Aker 47, Dobson 57, Warren 58, Burnham 58, Perry 60 and Searles 62.
