Tiger Cub tennis falls to experiened Charger squad

The Greencastle tennis team struggle against an experienced North Montgomery squad on Thursday, falling to the Chargers 5-0.

At No. 1 singles, David Cath fell to the Chargers' Wade Miller, 6-0, 6-0. At No. 2, Ty Fauvergue lost to Jackson Clifton, 6-0, 6-2. At No. 3, Logan Grzesiek fell to Mark Clements, 6-0, 6-2.

In the doubles ranks, GHS No. 1 team Victor Ness and Joey Kass fell to Eric Spencer and Chris Coakes 6-0, 6-0. At No. 2, Dustin York and Cy Spencer lost to Derek Fike and Jason Hook, 6-0, 6-0.

No JV scores were available, but Greencastle Xander Hazel lost to Andrew Airey and the GHS doubles team of Jared Bruner and Tyler Shoemaker fell to Matt Ryker and James Samuelson.

Greencastle hosts Southmont at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.
