Daniel E. 'Danny' Hutcheson

Daniel E. "Danny" Hutcheson, 69, Greencastle, passed away Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008 at the Putnam County Hospital.

Born Sept. 16, 1939, in Greencastle, he was the son of Forest and Crystal (Smith) Hutcheson.

He was a graduate of Reelsville High School Class of 1957.

He married Joyce (Sutherlin) Hutcheson Sept. 9, 1961 and she survives.

Mr. Hutcheson had worked three years at IBM prior to becoming a life-long farmer in Putnam County and farming the family farm with his brothers. He had also served in the United States Marine Corp.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1592, Putnam County Knife Club, Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge and American Legion, all of Greencastle.

Survivors include his wife: a daughter, Renee Hutcheson-Marsteller of Greencastle; a son, Kevin E. Hutcheson and his wife, Jenny, of Greencastle; two brothers, Gordon Hutcheson and his wife, Nicki, of Greencastle, and Randy Hutcheson and his wife, Linda, of Ruskin, Fla.; five grandchildren, Zachary Daniel Rhine, Nicholas Daniel Hutcheson, Madison Elaine Marsteller, Forest Jackson Hutcheson and Gerald Coleman Hutcheson.

His parents preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Bowen officiating. Burial will be in the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
