The Cloverdale Clovers sixth grade boys' basketball team was defeated in a close game Monday night by Clay City 32-28.
Scoring for the Clovers were Colton Wilkes with nine points and three rebounds. Brantson Sharp scored eight points along with seven rebounds. Derek Noon with tallied six points and eight rebounds. Rylan Mattocks with had four points and pulled in two rebounds. And Tyler Lotz with scored two points.
The Clovers started out with foul trouble but came back in the second half to close the 14 point lead to four points, but could not cut the lead shorter and lost in a good game.
Cloverdale will host Eminence today starting at 6 p.m., and will host a tournament on Saturday starting at 9 a.m.
