The Greencastle sixth grade girls' basketball team participated in the Cloverdale Tourney Feb. 28. The Tiger Cubs finished the day in third place after posting a 1-1 record.
In game one, Greencastle lost in overtime to Worthington-Lyon 31-24. Sydney Stuckwisch was top scorer with 11 points, followed by Jessica Lenihan with eight. Taylor Stoltey and Tera Amis scored two points each and Callan Taylor chipped in one point in the loss.
The Tiger Cubs were able to roar back in the second game and defeat North Putnam 31-12.
Stuckwisch again led the way with eight points, followed by Taylor, Stoltey and Lenihan with four points each. Brittany Welker, Amis, Sydney Secrest and Sydney Smiley chipped in two each, with Marlee Nichols adding one point.
The sixth grade A-team finished the season at 4-4, while the B-team posted a 5-1 record.
