Forrest Bullerdick, 93, of Poland died Monday, March 16, 2009.
He was born in Clay County on Oct. 5, 1915 to the late Perry and Lola (Cagle) Bullerdick. He married Virginia B. Cline on July 23, 1940.
Mr. Bullerdick worked for the Kattman's Store in Poland for 27 years. He and his wife were candle makers and owners of Kandle Korner for 18 years. He was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church of Christ. He helped establish the Poland Volunteer Fire Department and remained very active in that organization.
He is survived by his wife; three children, Jerry Bullerdick and wife Beverly of Henderson, Nev., Eleanor Corey and husband Ken of Fishers and Norma Justice and husband Roland of Cloverdale; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Mary Smith and Ellen Wellings; and brother Kenneth Bullerdick.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Whitaker Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn James officiating. Burial will be in the Poland Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
