Linda L. Parrish, 70, Greencastle, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born Nov. 29, 1938 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Herbert M. and Margurite L. Hunt Lane Sr. She was a graduate of Belle Union High School. She married DeWayne Parrish Sr. on Jan. 14, 1961 and he preceded her in death in July of 1988.
Mrs. Parrish had worked as a QMA for more than 20 years at Hickory Creek at Sunset Healthcare, Greencastle. She was a member of the Mt. Meridian Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Eastham and husband, Larry of Cloverdale, Ruth Phillips and husband, Brad of Greencastle, DeWayne Parrish Jr. and fiancée', Diane Carter of Coatesville and David Parrish and wife, Kim of Cloverdale; a sister, Sharon Allee and husband, Gary of Greencastle; two brothers, William Sullivan and wife, Barbara of Phoenix, Ariz., and Herbert Lane Jr. and wife, Sara of Greencastle; six grandchildren, Jimmie Eastham, Gennifer Eastham, Jeremiah Parrish, Jacob Parrish, Caleb Phillips, & Cody Phillips; two great-grandchildren, Jay and Joseph Eastham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Bradley Phillips; three brothers, Robert Gordon Lane, Gerald Lloyd Lane and Charles Allan Sullivan.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. Monday until time of service.
