Mary F. Blumer

Mary F. Blumer, 88, of Greencastle died Friday, April 3, 2009 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born March 26, 1921 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of William E. and Christina Kendall Moore. She was a 1938 graduate of Greencastle High School. She married Hubert M. Blumer on June 30, 1957 and he preceded her in death in July of 1983.

Mrs. Blumer had been a homemaker.

Survivors include her children, Robert M. Moore and wife Grace Ann of Greencastle, John Blumer and wife Lorraine Herel of Huntsville, Ala. and Sally Mayall and husband Kevin of Greencastle; three sisters, Helen Sutherlin of Greencastle, Margaret Reid of Ava, Mo. and Mildred Butts of Greencastle; a brother, David Moore of Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Esther Ruth Moore; three brothers, Willis Moore, William L. "Pete" Moore and Lloyd Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Chandler-Hays Funeral Home with the Pastor James Amis officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Monday from 5 to 8 pm.
