Putnam County Sheriff's Department

A Coatesville teen was arrested and booked into the Putnam County Jail following a case of road rage.

Derek Gibson, 18, struck the rear driver's side quarter panel of a vehicle driven by Mark Snow of Fillmore, when Snow attempted to "get away" from Gibson, the accident report stated.

Gibson also hit the back of Snow's vehicle in Hendricks County prior to the crash on Old Right of Way Road near Fillmore Wednesday night.

The teen was booked at 1:01 a.m. Thursday on charges of criminal recklessness with a vehicle and reckless driving.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed Gibson's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Other accidents reported by the Putnam County Sheriff's office include:

Boyd Patterson Jr., of Indianapolis was traveling east on US 40 in a 2004 International Box Truck, when his attention was diverted and he ran off the road.

Patterson overcorrected causing the truck to travel 245 feet before striking the first culvert; then traveled 120 feet and struck second culvert; and traveled another 210 feet, where the truck ran into several trees before stopping.

The accident occurred at 10:44 a.m. Thursday. Taylor Truck of Indianapolis towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $25,000 to $50,000 in damages.

Robert Stultz of Lafayette was traveling south on US 231 at 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, when he lost control of his vehicle. According to a witness to the crash Marci Grimes of Fillmore, Stultz overcorrected, crossed the centerline and ran into a ditch before striking a state highway sign.

Stultz seemed dazed and was transported to St. Clair Hospital in Crawfordsville. Kenny's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Putnam County Jail

Kelly Gulkey, 43, Fort Myers, Fla., was booked at 5:03 p.m. Wednesday for non-support of a child.

Heather Moore, 30, Greencastle, was booked at 6:12 p.m. Wednesday for possession or use of legend drug, operating a vehicle while suspended and probation violation.

Kevin Scroggin, 41, Greencastle, was booked at 6:22 p.m. Wednesday for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.

Drew Evens, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 1:25 a.m. Thursday for possession of paraphernalia and marijuana.

Andrew Birt, 18, Greencastle, was booked at 1:35 a.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana and reckless possession of paraphernalia.

Rouie Law, 18, Greencastle, was booked at 3:35 a.m. Thursday for domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a crime.

Anjali Cohen, 19, Greencastle, was booked at 3:21 p.m. Thursday for probation violation.

The following tickets were issued:

Lance Metsker, 37, Stilesville, was ticketed at 6:07 a.m. Wednesday on US 240 for driving while suspended and traveling 88 m.p.h. in a 55 m.p.h. zone

Deanne Jordan, 48, Greencastle, was ticketed at 7:22 p.m. Wednesday on Jackson Street for a seatbelt violation.

Rocky Ingram II, 27, Marengo, was ticketed at 5:55 p.m. Thursday on Indianapolis Road for driving while suspended and a seatbelt violation.

Glenn Babbs, 50, Inverness, Fla., was ticketed Thursday on Indianapolis Road for a seatbelt violation.

Madonna Owens, 22, Coatesville, was ticketed at 5:57 p.m. Thursday on S. Bloomington Street for driving while suspended.
