Putnam County Jail

Sharissa Frost, 37, Indianapolis, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 1:21 a.m. Dec. 23 for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Melida Alvarez, 21, Lafayette, was booked at 2:31 a.m. Dec. 23 for trespassing.

Steven Rogers, 28, Cloverdale, was booked at 12:51 a.m. Dec. 24 for battery.

Michael Lady, 36, Greencastle, was booked at 8:18 p.m. Dec. 24 for non-support of a child.

Kathleen Oreovicz, 43, Coatesville, was booked at 10:15 p.m. Dec. 24 for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, disorderly conduct, battery against law enforcement, resisting law enforcement, public intoxication, mischief and operating a vehicle per se.

Cariann Paulin, 33, Evansville, was booked at 2:06 p.m. Dec. 25 for neglect of a dependent.

Joseph Paulin, 33, Evansville, was booked at 2:49 p.m. Dec. 25 for neglect of a dependent and possession of marijuana.

Karen Melcho, 36, Locust Grove, Va., was booked at 3:20 p.m. Dec. 26 for reckless driving, possession of a controlled substance, legend drug and paraphernalia.

April Brooks, 41, Greencastle, was booked at 9:47 p.m. Dec. 26 for theft and violation of probation.

Curtis Shepherd, 46, Reelsville, was booked at 12:23 a.m. Sunday for public intoxication, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle per se.

Lori Shepherd, 45, Quincy, was booked at 12:54 a.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and public intoxication.

Jeffrey Awbrey, 39, Cloverdale, was booked at 11:19 p.m. Sunday for domestic battery, battery against law enforcement and resisting law enforcement.

Robert Tobin III, 29, Roachdale, was booked at 5:37 a.m. Monday for domestic battery.

Emily Blondell, 35, Monrovia, was booked at 3:08 p.m. Monday for identity deception, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, refusal to identify self and false reporting or informing.

Cory Walker, 20, Greencastle, was booked at 2:48 a.m. Tuesday for disorderly conduct, reckless possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and alcohol as a minor, neglect of a dependent, battery against law enforcement, resisting law enforcement and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

Michael Pelz, 46, Cloverdale, was booked at 1:44 p.m. Tuesday for failure to appear.

Stanley McKinney, 28, Greencastle, was booked at 3:32 p.m. Tuesday for petition to revoke probation.

Sheridan Spiker, 22, Greencastle, was booked at 11:53 p.m. Tuesday for forgery and theft.

Danny Bridgewater, 41, Brazil, was booked at 12:20 p.m. Wednesday for theft.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Linda Fowler of Cloverdale was traveling south on CR 1000E near Belle Union at 11:33 p.m. Dec. 18, when she lost control of her vehicle causing it to go in a ditch and strike a utility pole.

Fowler was transported to Hendricks Regional Hospital for minor body pain. George Hayden towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Ben Bingham of Coatesville was traveling northwest on Heritage Drive at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 19, when his vehicle left the roadway, went airborne and landed in a ditch.

Bingham was transported to Hendricks Regional Hospital. Kenny's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Judith McGaughey of Russellville was turning south onto CR 750W from CR 1400, when she crossed the centerline and struck a stopped vehicle driven by Brandy Dickson of Russellville. McGaughey was transported to a hospital due to a medical condition. A family member transported Dickson to a hospital.

The accident occurred at 11:55 a.m. Dec. 12 near Russellville. Ron's Wrecker Service towed Dickson's vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Curtis Smith of Coatesville was traveling east on CR 210N near Greencastle at 7:26 p.m. Dec. 21, when he was unable to make a 90-degree curve due to traveling too fast for road conditions. His vehicle left the roadway, fell down a 20-foot cliff and landed on its roof.

Curtis Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Tina Ogden of Greencastle was traveling west on CR 125S near Greencastle at 7:26 a.m. Saturday, when she lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions. Ogden's vehicle struck an eastbound vehicle driven by Brenda Albers of Brazil.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed both vehicles from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Dustin Baker of Cloverdale was traveling on Water Street in Cloverdale at 12:20 p.m. Saturday, when the accelerator stuck, causing his vehicle to travel off the road and strike a utility pole.

There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Joni Quinn of Waveland was traveling north on US 231 near Fincastle at midnight Saturday, when her vehicle slid off the road due to weather conditions.

Jerry's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $1,001 to $2,500 in damages.

Steve Durham of Kenrod was traveling on Interstate 70W at 4:40 p.m. Dec. 13, when he lost control of his vehicle and it overturned.

Steele's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Jared Rollings of Brazil was traveling south on Manhattan Road at 6 p.m. Dec. 14, when he swerved for a vehicle traveling north in the southbound lane. His vehicle struck a guardrail. Seniour's Wrecker Service towed the vehicle from the scene. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Robert Medcalf of Bloomfield was traveling south on US 231 near Cloverdale at 4:16 p.m. Friday, when a vehicle driven by Herbert Wright of Indianapolis pulled into his path.

There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Devan Barnes of Cloverdale was traveling on CR 675E near Cloverdale at 7:49 p.m. Dec. 20, when his vehicle slid into a ditch at the intersection of CR 1000. There was an estimated $2,501 to $5,000 in damages.

Lacie Watt of Crawfordsville was traveling on Stardust Way near Cloverdale, when she lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions. Her vehicle struck a vehicle driven by Steve Walters of Cloverdale.

Steele's Wrecker Service towed the vehicles from the scene. There was an estimated $5,001 to $10,000 in damages.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to 3164 N CR 450W at 11:27 a.m. Wednesday for mutual aid with VanBibber Volunteer Fire Department. They were back in service at 12:48 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 502 W. Walnut St. for a natural gas leak after a backhoe struck the line. They were back in service at 1:33 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 200 N. Jackson St. at 12:43 p.m. for an automobile accident with injury. They were back in service at 1:11 p.m.
