The Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its annual dinner for Jan. 30 at the DePauw University Indoor Tennis and Track Facility.

The evening will begin with the social hour from 6 to 7 p.m. with DJ Jim "Figgy" Hardwick providing music. He is sponsored by Duke Energy.

Drinks, appetizers and bidding on silent auction items will also take place during the social hour. The silent auction is sponsored by Ivy Tech Community College. Couples and groups can also have their professional photos taken by local photographer Amber Bowers of Amber Bowers Photography.

The buffet dinner, which is sponsored by North Salem State Bank, will begin at 7 p.m. The meal is being prepared by DePauw Catering Services.

Following the dinner, the presentation of awards will take place, including the announcement of the 2009 Putnam County Citizen of the Year and the Chamber's Director of the Year award.

The evening will be capped off with an exciting and entertaining Putnam County Variety Showcase. The Chamber is proud to provide guests with some wonderful Putnam County Talent in support of their Buy Local campaign. The entertainment for the evening is being sponsored by RHS, A Republic Service Company.
