Relay For Life kick-off events postponed

Due to the extreme weather forecast for the area, the American Cancer Society has postponed the Relay For Life of Putnam County kick-off event scheduled for 7 a.m. Tuesday at the Putnam Inn and the 8 p.m. kick-off at DePauw University's Union Ballroom.

Both the breakfast and evening events will be rescheduled for Feb. 16 --same time and locations.

"Sorry for any confusion or change of plans this may cause," the ACS stated in a press release. "We care very much for your safety and felt that postponing the events might ensure even more people are able to (safely) join us next week."

If the postponement causes a scheduling conflict and anyone is unable to attend either event, participants are asked to make arrangements for another representative to attend.
