BAINBRIDGE -- The Bainbridge Improvement Society will hold an open house to reveal items acquired through its preservation efforts on May 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Community Building, 201 North Grant Avenue.
Residents and anyone interested in the history of Putnam County are invited to look through the items now housed in two custom-made oak display cases. Included are photos of people and places, former merchant advertising and Bainbridge High School memorabilia.
Family members who have donated or loaned items for display will be on hand to share their stories and answer questions, as will several lifelong residents with deep ties to the community.
Light refreshments will be served.
