Putnam County Jail

Cheryl A. Bargo, 48, Greencastle, was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday for forgery and possession of a controlled substance.

Joseph S. Meanor, 25, Bainbridge, was booked at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday for arson and theft.

James Russell, 34, Indianapolis, was booked at 5:18 p.m. Tuesday for violation of probation.

Thomas J. Twitty, 37, Roachdale, was booked at 1:36 p.m. Wednesday for violation of parole.

Putnam County Sheriff's Department

Orland L. Cyphers III of Cloverdale was traveling westbound on Rangeline Road at 2:17 a.m. Wednesday, when his vehicle left the roadway.

Upon the deputy's arrival, 28-year-old Cyphers was found "passed out at the wheel," the accident report stated.

The Greencastle Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 2:21 a.m. and had to remove Cyphers from the vehicle. He was transported to Putnam County Hospital, where his blood alcohol level tested at .19.

Cyphers was booked into the Putnam County Jail at 4:34 a.m. for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with prior.

Greencastle Fire Department

Crews were dispatched to Pizza Hut, 1106 Indianapolis Road, at 4:49 p.m. Tuesday for a motor vehicle accident. They were back in service at 5:15 p.m.

Crews were dispatched to 600 N. Jackson St. at 3:01 a.m. Wednesday for an alarm. They were back in service at 3:11 a.m.
